The MANual For Hair Straightening

Steps: How to straighten

Straight. Styled. Swift.  We’re here to give you the low down on hair straightening and the straight styles we can’t get enough of. Whether you want to work the slicked back, the side comb over, the sweeping fringe or even the iconic middle parting – Air Plates Compact can help you create every look. So if you’re looking to score some serious points on the style leader board – we’ve got you covered.

  • Start by generously spritzing a heat protecting spray over the hair.
  • Next, if you have longer hair, split it into sections or alternatively for shorter hair you can start from the crown of your head.
  • Use your hands or a comb to lift up smaller sections of the hair and run your Air Plates Compact Straighteners over each one.
  • Once you’ve finished styling your hair, apply a matt texture paste, hairspray or even pomade to the hair to hold it in place.

Finally you’re ready to face the world with a slick, straight style

Slicked back

In our opinion a slicked back style is the perfect way to smarten up your look for any occasion – and it’s effortless to create. Whether you’re heading to work or for drinks on the town, this suave style will definitely turn up the charm.

Sweeping side fringe

The sweeping side fringe has evolved from emo to edgy and we love it. Keeping your tresses on trend, this style is perfect for those of you with longer hair. And did we mention – this look is great for hiding a receding hair line.

Side comb over

We know the comb over used to be the signature cut for choir boys but that’s no longer the case. It’s time to give the comb over some serious credit, this look is both quirky and current and we can’t get enough of it.

Middle parting

The 90’s curtains will always be a firm favourite of ours. This style frames your face and helps to accentuate your best features – result. So if you have the confidence to work the 90’s boy band look – we’re behind you 100%.
